In a nut shell, there are two types of basic communisim. Pekinese and Marxcist. Pekineese is from China. Marxcism is from the former Soviet Union. Both are screwed up systems because they did not work. On paper they sound OK but in practice they don't. The main mentality is that if your friend has three houses the government gets one, you get one and someone else they designate gets one, if your other friend has three boats the trend repreats itself, if you have something the trend repeats itself again, over and over. Then you have to wait in line for luxuries like toilet paper and bread. Karl Marx started it in Russia in the early 1900's and Mao Se Tung started it in China around the same time. But there is really no separation of social classes since the government rules the outcome and changes rules as they please. Communisim fell apart in China and Russia around 1989, people were tired of living under government rule. Reason why everything you own is made in China now. But don't forget that it is alive and well in North Korea (influenced by China) and Cuba (influenced by both, mainly Russia) today. In communism you say or do something against the government you could end up dead. In America you have rights. Do you know why Russia, China, Cuba have great sports teams in the Olympics? The Olympics where for amateurs, communist countries train and pay athletes. They start at an early age to perform. If they fail they end up being sent into disgrace and they can never perform again. Find the movie "Moscow on the Hudson" - it is a romantic story of a defector (Robin Williams) also a musician from a communist nation wanting to stay in America. With the current congress we might be headed in to a communist or socialist type of regime. Its all about time. Democrats want equality for all it does not work because we are all different, we have different needs.

my how history has changed since I went to school, as when I went to school and history was my and still is my favorite subject,
I wrote a term paper and scored a 100 on it ,
history before the 60s said that Carl Marx was the son of a Jewish Rabbi, he wrote the communist manifesto in mid 1800s and he died in the late 1800s but some rich Zionist , Nichols, Trotsky,Cowen, Engeles, and Loeb pooled their money together and hired mercenaries from America, England ,Canada, and any country that would let them and some they did recruit Illegally, these Mercenaries went to Russia and the Czars pretty much lived as the Indians did in this country, each Czar had his own territory and band of men etc, and as the Indians they fought against one another often, so when these mercenaries went in and conquered one czar they would recruit the loser into their forces and go on to the next Czar, until they conquered the whole of Russia, and they installed the communist party in 1919, I have forgotten
but Nichols and Trotsky were good friends and I do believe Nichols ruled first and then Trotsky took over and he ruled for a while then Stalin had Trotsky killed in Mexico, then he became the premier, all of these men were Zionist, and they ruled Russia with a iron fist as you well know, there were only app, 5% Jews in Russia, but they ruled the other 95%and enslaved them until in the 80s when the Russian empire collapsed, we used to get a good laugh when the news papers would write about how the Jews were mistreated in Russia, and after the iron curtain fell how so many got out , they got out because they were afraid there would be a real holo caust, did you notice they all came out with a bag full of gold or diamonds etc? fact is they broke the Russian econmy,

The idea of communism was put forth by socialists Karl Marx and Fredick Engels in the United Kingdom I believe.
However, an actual communist state was created by Lenin by creating a revolution (October Revolution) which overthrew Tsar Nicholas II of Russia, and created the U.S.S.R in the year 1917.

Although Marx and Engels (both German) wrote the Communist Manifesto, ideas of communism have been around forever and don't have a specific inventor.
Democracy has a better written history than communism.
