It is definitely possible. I was a pre-Med student my first couple of years, so I had to take a bio and chem class every semester and I didn't struggle too much. Last semester I only had one science class and I didn't know what to do with all of the excess free time I had.

I actually knew people who took Organic chem 2, cell and molecular biology and physics at the same time and I don't think any of them had mental breakdowns, so I think you can handle a bio and a chem at the same time.

Chem II is not a high level science. It's a midlevel science. Molecular Genetics, Developmental Cell Biology, Gross Anatomy, Physical Chemistry -- those are high level sciences.

Anyway, it really depends on what sort of student you are. If you can handle studying a couple of hours every day, you should be fine.

Problem is that people put off the material until a couple of days before the test and you absolutely cannot do that in science.

I wouldn't do it if you're in your first year and still getting used to a demanding science courseload. If it's your junior year as a Bio major, yeah, you really should be handling stuff like this now.

Yes, it is a very bad idea to take two high level classes such as Chem 2 and Mirco at the same time. If you have other classes that you can take with one or the other, please do so.

If you choose to take both Chem 2 and Micro concurrently, be prepared to give up any personal life you might have. Also, if you have a job, your education will suffer.

Yes. My daughter made the same mistake. She ended up haviin to take the chem class over again. WAY too much reading to get done even before the exams were given.

You should know how good a student you are. If you find it hard to tackle complex subjects, I recommend taking those two classes separatedly. If, on the other hand, you're the studious and smart kind, the sort of person who can process information at about the same speed as you read it, then go for it.

Yeah it' tough, but doable if you're willing to study hard.

Micro's hard, no matter what else you are taking.

I've taught college micro and when my students complained about how hard it was I told them '"I know - I only got a C+ when I took it!"
