i did not read the article, (i am srry), but I think we are getting smarter because look at the technology today, there is no way that we could have come up with this 20 years ago, we first learn our history then we learn more, so we are getting smarter and I dont really know if our morality is getting better. It doesnt seem like a more peaceful world every day, we still have genocide, war, violence, pain and suffering. I dont see in big leaps, teens are still doing drugs, gettin prego, and commiting suicide. I dont really see us as human beings evoling as moral people.

No. We're dumber and less moral. We should indeed
learn from our ancestor's knowledge, but look at all the
traditions that are now being trashed. Today's kids think
they have a better way. Getting rid of everything related
to God is the wrong path to take. A Godly nation was
what made US great and moral to begin with. When you
educate without religion, you create clever devils. Didn't
we used to leave home and never lock a door? Heck, you
gotta have locks and security for your cars now. The Florida
residents and snowbirds all live behind gated security
fences. Look at all the drugs and pornography and rapes..
no we definitely are not more moral.

The human race is now a civilized antion and technology is the battle of the network.
The Japanese work 24/7 on technology whereas the U.S. takes Sunday off. We are not ahead in Technology like we should be and that doesn't mean were not smarter.
The War to rule the sky in technology has been ongoing for a while now and that is the smarts are.

smarter? more moral? hahahahahaha...we have more information and technology, and what have we done with it? our atmosphere is choking, our water supplies are turning into cesspools, we are losing more and more of the very plants and animals God told us to take care of...we're more efficient at killing... we can get to more places more quickly to kill more..we have a society where those on top throw away more resources in a year than most of the rest will ever see in a lifetime-we have people literally eating themselves into an early grave while hundreds of millions starve...more moral? look around you---all we've done is 'dumbed down' morality...we worship folks with nothing to say for themselves but 'look at me' and revere those with the morals of a drunken sailor in a Bangkok brothel...Christ taught us to love God with all we have and to love our neighbors as ourselves, but we have decided we ARE God, and our neighbor? well, our neighbor had better not have something we want to play with or it's all over for him...the golden rule is 'whoever has the gold makes the rules'...and 'might makes right' has replaced 'do unto others'...dead innocent children are 'collateral damage'...look around you...

We are certainly getting smarter, no doubt about it. But I also think that in some way because of our growing intellect, we see fewer reasons to have certain morals.

Maybe so, maybe not but one thing I do know is that we are losing touch with a lot of the information and knowledge that our ancients had, and I'm not talking about technology either
