Ok this is what I know.. My "cherry" round oil tank holds 1000 gals of oil. After my last fill up (768.8 gals)I measures 75 inches of oil. The night before I measured 27 inches of oil. Is this enough info for someone to figure out gals per inch?

With the info given I would speculate about 13 gallons per inch. Of course this is just an estimate, actual mileage may vary.
