I wish my Mother had lived with her 2nd husband before she had married him. He abused her so badly mentally, and verbally she ended up very weak and withdrawn. She tried to leave but he would always sweet talk her back. 15 years she did this. He took away the once vibrant women she was.

She always felt that being with him was better than being alone. Finally one day she realized being dead was better than being with him. She killed herself in August. Everyday I miss her so badly.

Maybe living with him before she married him would have prevented a marriage... too late now.

I DON'T THINK IT'S WRONG AT ALL TO LIVE TOGETHER BEFORE MARRIAGE. THAT WAY, YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THEM AND TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT MARRIED LIFE WILL BE. AND IF THAT PERSON IS RIGHT FOR YOU.

Yes, because even if you get married, you have set up certain patterns before you have the commitment.
As to is it "wrong", that's up to your own morals.

I DON'T THINK SO AT ALL. IF YOU LIVE WITH SOMEONE BEFORE YOU GET MARRIED THEN YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO REALLY SEE HOW THEY ARE AND HOW THEY LIVE. WHY NOT FIND OUT IF YOU CAN LIVE WITH SOMEONE BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY TAKE THAT STEP AND MARRY THEM?

yes i do believe it does no good, because u are being intimate with them, and really too soon. your not getting enough chance to get to know them, and develop any other relationship except the sexual one. best not to, until the ring is on the finger, and the wedding is over with.

How do figure?

We did, and we're still happily married 36 years later.

Beat that.
