Surely, he needs some combat experience? If Prince William accents to the throne, how can he experience and make decissions about military policities and foreign policies that impact the whole world, when not as to have wcperience under his belt?

Most members of the royal family have extensive military experience. The Duke of Edinburgh served the WW2, Charles served in the RN as did his brother who was a fighter pilot during the 1980's. Both HRH Prince William and Harry are full time Army officers.

I'm not British, but we've been getting a lot (well, a fair amount) of reporting in the news here in the States about the Princes being possibly shipped out, even Harry going to Iraq. Something tells me that the chances of either of these soldiers seeing combat is extremely low, if not impossible.
