the longest anyone has ever gone without sleep is 11 days, he was a highschool student in the 60's. facts are though that after two to three days you begin to sleep with your eyes open or experiance short term unconsciousness without even realizing. its a interesting question for the answers, but most of the time people may not realize they got a couple of naps.

54 hours during exam week in college while taking 25 credits in one semester (NEVER again!) and also working 1 full-time and 1 part-time job. Lived on cigarettes and black coffee the entire time. Finally crashed and slept 21 hours straight.

You beat Me. I have only gone 46 hrs. When my Grandfather was terminally ill, I drove a good distance to see him before he passed. Then found it very difficult to sleep for a while after he died. Its almost like you become numb from a lack of sleep, you just go thru the motions.

You got me beat. I had to stay up 24 hours one time due to a potentially serious illness. Luckily, it turned out not to be as big a deal as the doctors said it would be.

i get too much sleep, wish i could go for 2 days or so without sleep it will make a world record for me...
