Its not possible to just turn gay, it is not a case of converting. Some people do not realise they are gay straight away. Some people are bi-sexual. If you are quite young, then you can go through a stage of 'experimenting' with the same sex; and this is just a phase of growing up which will pass.
Your question is not stupid, it is a very valid enquiry and you are entitled to ask it. Ignore the other rude replies!
Have a great day! :o)

I have met many women who joked about how cute a friend was or a stranger looked. Then, with a few drinks these casual comments became more serious flirtations.

I think women are beautiful and other ladies sometimes just appreciate this natural sexuality. Now, if this leads to making out with another woman I suppose you could call that gay. I call it the power of the feminine mystique, sorry Friedan. Nothing wrong with this feeling. It is natural.

No, I don't think it is a stupid question at all honey. I knew at 13 that I liked girls but that didn't make me a lesbian then.... I had 'relations' with my teenage next door neighbour at that age...she is now happily married with 4 children.... I continued to have relations with men and women until I got pregnant then married....then something terrible happened that shook my faith in men...I was still married but it didn't feel right anymore...I met the woman 'of my dreams' then I left my husband and never looked back. I'm not with the woman anymore but I wouldn't go back to men although I don't hate them.

Did I turn gay? Hmmm probably, through environmental situations but i thik I already had the 'feelings' there!

I think there are 2 types of gay. The REAL inate homosexual who are born gay. And then the type which upset me, sometimes if people are sexualy abused by the opposite sex or have a traumatic experience and they cant form relationships with the oppisite sex so they turn to the same sex as they are safer.

Yes, just like everything else in life, you want to try something new (baseball, knitting, rock polishing) so you try it. You decide you like it and you get deeper and deeper into whatever turns you on.

Of course gay activists will say that being gay is not a choice, they were born that way. MY question to them is, if that is so ... why do gay groups sponsor classes and seminars in "getting to know your gay side"? It's basically chats that are meant to open people's eyes into gay culture and an attempt to blur the lines between straight and gay. If gay are truly "born" gay .... then no one needs a seminar on learning to be gay.

One is always gay but it may take some time to accept the fact. To "convert" to liking girls is just further denial of ones true identity and will only lead to self-hatred and confusion.

Your question is not stupid.

Yes it is possible to turn gay.
A male friend of mine was straight until the age of 33. Then he saw some gay porn and that triggered a conversion to gay. Althought he still fancies girls he is predominently gay now.
Good luck to him.

I don't think it is. Also your question is not stupid at all. Someone could be a bisexual and decide to settle down with a same sex partner.
I think there are those who are gay, and that is how it is.
Others are bisexual and may make a choice.
And of course, there are those who claim to be reformed gays, but I think they are struggling to do it.

No, people don't "turn" gay. It is possible to try to fit into the "normal" society by repressing your natural tendencies, but if someone does change, it's merely accepting how they were born.

it sure is if the right girl comes along. I was married and had never really thought about girls until my mid-forties. I am now divorced (nothing to do with my liking girls, I made the decission long after divorce) now I perfer girls.
