Congrats! You are feeling the baby move. Don't listen to everyone who says it's too early. I am 17 weeks and have been feeling the baby since I was 12 weeks, I felt my first baby that early too. We are just lucky because we can enjoy this movement for much longer than other people!

The experience of feeling your baby move is also known as "quickening" and it occurs between 18 and 20 weeks though some feel it as soon as 16 weeks. Perhaps you are feeling it at 12. At twelve weeks your baby is 8cm long and weighs about 1.6 ounces. The face is well formed. Eyelids close about the tenth week and wont reopen until the 28th week. Tooth buds appear for all of the child's baby teeth. The baby can curl the fingers to make a fist. Spontaneous movements can occur at this time--perhaps that is what u are feeling although active movements are not present until between 13 and 16 weeks. Your baby's heart beats 120-160 times per minute.

Many women don't feel movements til 16 weeks but is very possible that you can feel the movement at 12 weeks. Enjoy it while it is the cute flutters not too long until they are forceful jabs to the ribs and bladder.

Most women feel the baby move around 16-20 weeks. It is a little early to feel at 12 weeks, but it is still possible. But it is also possible that it is just gas at this point :)

That's how mine felt...like my stomach was doing little flips. I'm almost 21 weeks now, and I can feel faint movement, but its still hard to distinguish and the movements are not always consistent. It feels like little pokes in my tummy, mostly at night time or when I'm sitting still. During the day I don't feel too much movement at all, but I'm probably too busy to notice.

Most women claim that they can feel their baby moving for the first time between 16 and 20 weeks. My wife will be 20 weeks on Wednesday and hasn't felt it yet. If you are underweight or just generally skinny, it may be possible that you are feeling the baby, especially if it isn't your first.

It probably could be the baby although it is still a little early to really feel the baby. At this point the fetus is still very small and takes up very little space. Maybe you are feeling other internal functions.

You start feeling the baby move at 5 months. Right before you start feeling the baby move you will feel bubbles! I forgot what its called. But it really does feel like bubbles. The shortly after that the baby will start kicking up a storm!!!
