why there is a difference of three years in marriageable age of man and woman?

in india the marriageable age is 21for males and 18 for females

wow, if that is true, why do i hear stories of muslims practicing "thighing". if a girl is 9, and cannot receive the sex of a male at that age?
but it is just about the same here in america. most people cannot get married until they are 18 unless they have parental blessing.

i have friends from india,and they told me girls get married at 12 and 15.but here is 18.if under,you need the parents to emancipate the child.
