Life in prison.
I hate pedophiles as much as the next person, but I would never advocate the death penalty. Besides, castration (chemical or...otherwise) would be cruel and unusual, as well as excessive force, since pedophiles can't rape kiddies from prison. And it's not as if they are ever going to walk the street again, so theres no reason besides being cruel. I'm not a fan of cruelty to anybody, only justice.
As far as the prison sentence goes, I am up for anything. Life in solitary confinement, supermax, chains, sensory deprivation... so many possibilities, so little time.

I don't think we need better punishments; we need better enforcement. So many are getting away with it! You could punish pedophilia with the death penalty, but as long as people aren't getting caught, child molestation will only continue.
I also think that child molestation laws need to be revised. Depending on your state (if you're in the U.S.), a 40-year-old man molesting a 6-year-old is treated in much the same way as an 18-year-old having consensual sex with his 17-year-old girlfriend. This isn't right.

Town square hanging---I bet if some saw that-they would think twice before committing the crime!
Other than that -perhaps some sort of monitor on them. Heavy so they can't run. It seems other things have failed and we do owe protection to our children. That is only right. If I have a dog that bites-I have to control it or risk it being put down. Even if that means, electric collars, cages, chaining it. I can't let how the dog feels about it stopping what is right. No less here--protection to others is the most important thing to consider.

It's absolutely the time to get tough with the weirdos.
It's time for us to get tough with ALL criminals.
We need to enforce the same laws as other countries have;
you get caught stealing - they cut your hand off, you kill someone- you die. Those laws are so simple - why are we so forgiving, why do we allow these people back into our communities to commit crime over and over again and WHEN WILL WE LEARN...
Pedophiles - lubotomies, cut their hands off and poke their eyes out.

Sentence them to 1 week in jail, but let everyone in the general population of the prison know why they are there. Then offer 1 kilo of the drug of choice to the first one who brings you the severed head. They won't last the week!

They need to have their penis cut off and then they need to be killed. Unless they have some kind of mental disorder then they just need to spend the rest of their life in jail or depending on how severe put to death.

Yes! There is no punishment great enough!
If they committed the crime and there is DNA proof, then they deserve to have body parts(fingers, penis, tongue) removed.

Honestly, I would have to go with death.
Abuse as terrible as that can cause so many problems for a child, like eating disorders, drug abuse...
