The most common stereo type is that all scientist are atheist. I personally know multiple scientist who have religion (some are Christian, but not all). And I know of a list of 600 scientist that signed a statement saying that they believe in intelligent design.

I think that the most popular stereotype is that science doesn't give the credit to God for what is related to it. People seem to think that science and religion are two different things when they're one in the same. Scientists are too stubborn to even admit that.

From a feminist viewpoint (I'm guessing that's what you're here for), a lot of people assume that science and math are for guys, while fields based on language and communication are for girls. But that isn't much of a surprise. Girls are naturally better at communicating, while guys are more hands-on. (There are exceptions, natch.)

That they are atheists, that they are men, that they are boring, that they have frizzy hair, are a bit eccentric and wear lab coats all day. I am a scientists and am none of these!

that they can save the world, cure all disease, are ALWAYS right, can prove eitiology of disease and oh- did I mention Geek?
