The best place to spend New Years is with friends and/or family.

All the places that "do it big" are places where you are going to stand it the streets with every other Tom, Dick and Jacques. Me, I hate crowds. When I went to Times Square for New Year's it was freezing rain. I almost died of pnemonia.

All the best venues (i.e. $500 a couple) are broadcasting different time zones (New York, Vegas, L.A.) on big screens in addition to their own hired entertainment. So if you are all for that, you just need to have a whole bunch of money and you're set!

If you get stuck staying at home again, consider "The Brent and Timmy Live New Year's Show" at www.brentandtimmy.com

These guys celebrate New Year's live on the 'net time zone by time zone.

I saw the show. I laughed my butt off! These guys broadcast live from a nasty looking basement apartment in Brooklyn.

No idea who exactly they are though...
