In the school the boys started to harrass you because you were very beautiful and to press you to be their girlfriend but you wnated to be the leader because you were the most intelligent (by then). The pressure and harrasment was so big that you had to hide from the rest of the people and started to isolate yourself and consequently got ill and miserable because of gender prejudices that women cannot be leaders???
It happened to me.
I don't mind the thumbs down.
I have suffered enough when men threatened me with raping me and I had to shut up

It is not only about the school, even though mostly. I know that I am particularly sensitive but I know also that I am very very cute and that I have not seen many beautiful women been able to develop their intelligence. They are always suppose to be just ornaments or something...And th tragedy is that I was ambitious (not any more, now I am more calmed, but resigned and sad)
It is also about male behaviour in the streets that make you feel afraid of going out, in many places.

As a guy - i cannot say this has happened to me.
But, yes, as a semi-professional kids counsellor i know what CAN happen.

First of all- you have a right to choose your career. Don`t let dumb-f*cks like that frighten you to do something less.
If you find out while trying that it isn`t for you - then okay - that would be the time to change your career goal.

As to the threats..
These people are completely insane. If i wanted you to go out with me i`d ASK, not threaten or pressure you. The fastest way to get a 'no' is by demanding, as if you have a right to something.
I was brought up that i`d have to 'earn the right' of taking a lady out :) Guess i`m sorta oldfashioned.

My current manager is a woman, and while she lacks in technical knowledge (i`m in an IT job) she isn`t afraid to say so, and asks those of us that do know for advice. That, imho, is a sign of strength. I think i am blessed with her as manager as well, because she is a people person, and willing to fight for people that she thinks are worth it. Most of us got a pretty decent salary raise because of that.
So yes - i think women CAN be leaders. If you are a good one, that is up to you.

So go for it!

It seems to me that you are: 1) suffering from delusions of grandeur (think that you're something or someone great and aren't at all) or 2) are a hottie bubblebrain (beautiful, but lacks the intelligence and social skills to handle situations). Have you ever discussed your problems with your parents, a counselor, a teacher or school official?
Get yourself some help.

Never happened to me, but I can understand what you're going through. You have to just make it clear that you aren't interested in them. I know plenty of attractive girls who have seperated themselves from jerks like that. Just find your true friends, stick with them, and go ahead and tell those guys to F***K off. You're going to have to do something drastic to get the point acrosss. If it comes right down to it, you have to file for harassment or something. You just have to assert yourself and make it clear that you want to be independant from them. You probably have an idea of certain things you could do to turn a guy off you, like emberass him, make him feel stupid, turn him down. But there are some real jerks out there, and if you can't get away from them, you need to take comfort in your friends.

sounds like a high class problem, shave your head if you think you're too pretty, what do you want to be the leader of? sounds like you're the leader of the stupid boys, use it to your advantage and quit complaining

I don't quite understand your question. Are you asking has anyone ever been picked on or made fun of? Everyone has....that is part of life.
