You cannot, in effect, set up a playlist for Launchcast. It is specifically designed not to do that. The Yahoo product that IS designed for that is Yahoo Music Unlimited.
In Launchcast, you indicate your preferences by rating music (songs, albums, artists, genres) on either a 0-4 star scale or a 0-100 point scale. On your personal station, Launchcast uses your ratings to feed you the music you rated highly mixed in with music similar to what you rated and other music it wants to feed you. In a best-case scenario, in the free version, you can get Launchcast to play up to 80% rated music versus 20% unrated. In the Plus version, you can in some circumstances get it to play 100% rated music. However, in no case will you be able to pick what songs play when.
In case you were wondering, the way to get up to 80% rated music is to have a sufficiently large number of positive (at least 50 points or 2-stars) ratings spread over a rather large number of "playable" (those that are in the Yahoo Music library) artists and not too narrowly focused by genre. The number of ratings needed depends on how often and how long you listen: the more you listen, the more ratings you need to continue to hear the high proportion of rated music.
There are 2 ways to get up to 100% in Plus. Have a ratings profile as in the 80% example above, plus either:
1- Listen via Yahoo Music Jukebox (or Engine) and put your Discovery setting to only play rated music, or
2- Set up a Mood as a subset of your main station, and again set your Discovery setting to play only rated music.
