One reason would be, because the team would only have

2 batsmen to perform the haka to. And if it was the opposing

team performing it, there would be 2 batsmen performing the

haka to 11 fielders. Also it is a gentleman's game. Not like rugby.

Not all Kiwi teams perform the Haka prior to the match. The Haka is also nore traditionally performed by teams that have a high concentration of Maori players. As the cricket team is majority Anglo players, there is not the tradition for the Haka that there is in League and Union.
