some dreams i have are great and i want them to come true and some aren't. I have had dreams that came true but idk if that was just a coincidence or not.

Some times dreams do give us a sneak peek at our futures. Sometimes this is good, sometimes not.
Moreover, dreams are to be translated in terms of metaphors. Sometimes you can get a deeper meaning from them if you think about them.
Still, there are some dreams that are based off of random things that your brain has 'recorded' of things you have witnessed. An example, you playing a role with characters from a recently seen television show.
The truth of the matter is, dreams are a grey area of science. There are many explanations and interpretations out there, but none of them actually discuss their true sources or meanings.

yes they sometimes can predict the future...the bible is full of stories...of visions and dreams that came to pass...revelation is all about the end of time on this earth as we know it...and, it is coming to pass as we speak...
but, for us regular people...I think they might be our own wishes...that come to surface as we dream.
