It is not unheard of for a woman to ovulate more than one egg from both sides. And, both eggs can become fertilized. Ovulation from both sides has a higher occurence of happening when on fertility drugs or other therapies for non ovulating women.

You can ovulate from both sides but if your having cramps and pulling I would go see a doctor just to make sure nothing's wrong.

Usually only one egg is released per cycle. It doesn't matter which side you ovulate from. Menstrual cramps are caused by the tightening of the muscles in your uterus, and these muscles are on both sides of your uterus.

No. The pituitary gland tells your body which ovary will ovulate. If you are getting cramps on both sides, speak with your doctor.
