(01-15) 12:37 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, returning to her hometown of San Francisco, strongly warned today that President Bush "should not abuse his power" with regard to troop escalation in the Iraq war and said it is the duty of Congress to "exercise oversight over his power.''
"If the president doesn't have a plan, Democrats will hold him accountable," Pelosi said in her first public appearance outside Washington since her election as speaker Jan. 4.

Nancy Pelosi has been given a big job, and This comment just shows that the power is already going straight to her head. She probably needs to take a breath and think about what comes out of her mouth. I'm a women and I don't think she represents us very well at all, She's just what men stereotype women with power as! A Cu@t with an attitude, she actually makes Hillary look good.

number one power of the world and they want us to cut
and run? NO WAY JOSE . Nancy Pelosi was for sending
more troops when Bush was against it......now that he's
for it.............she's against it. Some people just can't be
pleased. Just be advised that Pelosi was for "surge" at
one time so maybe she'll be the one that should be held

Is she gonna cook him a well done steak? Bush isn't "abusing power" as you call it. Would you rather be fighting terrorists in your hometown? THAT'S why we must fight them there. Her plan ( if she had one ) would bring about far more death than Bush's ever would because it would weaken America thereby increasing the likelihood that an American city might be attacked and wiped off the map.
