I have a 55 gallon tank with one long grow light and the lighting is bright.

I have live plants mixed in with my plastic plants. I put my plastic plants in a vinegar bath a week ago. And within a couple of days the blanket weed grew back.

take them out and wash them no soap

replace teh carbon on your filters more often. Take the plastic plants out and scrub them really good with the back of a sponge or something thats harsh like that. Unfortunatly plastic plants will almost always get that stuff on them.

Better water quality, more frequent water changes,7 hours or less lighting,fish or snails that eat "blanket weed". PeeTee (Why are you using a Grow Light on plastic plants,anyway?)
