I have one of the older type of monitors, the big boxy ones not an LCD, and after it has been on for about half an hour everything on the screen becomes blurred and impossible to read. Does anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it? Thanks : )

The CR gun is probably going, and there is no fix -- chuck it (recycle it, please) and get a new one...

Thats CTR monitor.. You can degausse if you have a button for it.. if you dont?? Get an entirely new comp set up.. as thats from at least the early 90's at best and WAY WAY outta date.. not much you can do about it .. nor not much you should actually.. CRT's are like the Modle A fords of displays..

AS you stated - it is an older one.
Eventually these will reach the end of their life.

I would go for a new screen, LCD (flat) or CRT (bulky) is up to you.
