why do people have so much respect for celebrities, when all they are is people who have talents (dont we all) and look good, they are just people. and why does fame take such a toll on them? all it does is make them blind and stupid. can anyone agree with me?

finally someone with some sense. i never got why people put celebrities on such a high pedestal. i get tired of all the hype, they r no better than the rest of us. i didn't think there was any women that felt this way.

some people respect the famous because they feel that they have the right to be famous.
fame takes such a toll on most because of the never ending
hours they spend in make up. acting. traveling.learning.
and drugs/Alcohol for most famous people.
stress .
being away from their families for months at a time.
they don't have time to relax and have fun..
no I don't agree with you about them being blind and stupid.

I totally agree and I believe it's because they love the talent so much they get lost in it and yes we all have talents but allot of people don't seem to think their talent is just as good as the celebrity's, me personally I know my talents or wrather gifts are just as good and maybe even better than theirs I have plenty of them but because of the fact that theyre' on t.v. people think that they are perfect beyond what they should and you and I both know better than that. But we can't change what others think just give advise and if they don't see then that's their problem what if you or I was a celebrity then what would they think? I could be one or you could be one but it really wouldn't make me a bit of difference because I worship no man but God I am a leader not a follower and if they can act like that over a celeb. then let them they just don't know what they make themselves look like, if I was in the same room with Beyonce or T.I. I wouldn't think or act a bit different than I would with any other person in the entire universe so don't even trip off of it let them act the way they want and you just be true to you and don't worry about other people you live your life and do what you do best.

Acting is a career like any other. In my personel expectations I would never want to become a actress because for one I would not want to be in the rest room worrying im being watched. Then look at the news paper the next day and see my naked self on front page. Plus I wouldn't want cameras flashing in my face constantly sure, u become known around the world and make a bundle of monet but is it really worth losing your privacy. Personelly something I can never do withought. So if people want to become a actor or actress no complaint here personelly nothin special to me.

i so totally agree with u!! celebrities are ppl just like u and me, i don't know wjy ppl go crazy over them, then when celebs do make it out here they forget all about us. they get trapped up in this celebrity world and forget where they truly comr from. if i was a celebrity i wouldn't buy a big fancy house or car that i can't even count the money out with by hand LOL!!! i would probably still be shopping at wal-mart

I certainly agree with you. They are our entertainment that's why. I know what you mean though. Some celebrities really have talent and are great for role models, but others just take advantage of their career and they're the biggest gossip ever. Oo wells. That's how it is. =/

celebrities are put on a pedastal and i cant understand why
they do not deal with problems that everyday people deal with but yet they are willing to sing rap and act about our problems they loathe in self pity as long as they all believe in scientology they will never be taken seriously

I think modern idol worship replaces our old instinct to worship a monarch the same way. Plus people are gluttons for drama.
