My great-grandfather was a writer (Paul Powers) and I have so many overwhelming ideas. I have written poems, but I really think I could write a novel. Should I??

One way to find out would be to take a creative writing class. You can get a lot of good feedback and direction that way. I hope you find your true calling.

Why not? At this point all its costing you is time.

When you decide that its something you want to pursue, then look into hooking up to a good critiuqe group that can tell you how to do it better. Get some Writies Digest books and magazines to tell you how to format, and submit.

If you get this far, your a writer. Not published but a writer. Good luck.

First, pursue spelling. Sorry, Couldn't resist. Seriously, why not be a writer? I'm also sorry to tell you writing is not necassarily an inheireted trait. If you are one you'll become one of your own volition.

You seem to have one thing badly needed to write - desire.

Take a writing class and learn spelling too (the word is pursue)

I wish you luck.

Sure, why not.
If I were you I would go to different people and ask them what they think of your writing idea's and see if they would be interested in your topics. If your going to write, make it good!

yes, please do. We need people that can write good to write novels. Try to keep down on the swearing. It takes so much away from the story.
