To the person who stated that men have a penis and women have a vagina, I am sorry to shatter you're illusions but some people who call themselves men do not have a penis and some people who call themselves women do not have a vagina.
The answer to this question is a lot more complicated, than it seems. Firstly, the words man and woman are social constructs of gender. Therefore, the gender of a man has certain agreed apon sets of rules that the majority of people follow (etc).
Now to anyone who tells me, that it is simply down to men being male therefore based on genitals and chromones are different from women because they have XY and a penis is actually a lie.
There are people in this world who have XXY chromozones and call themselves a woman.
Gender is a social construct. It is not biological and it is not chromozonal. However, because society, history and civilisation is built on the notions of power imbalances (ie pointing to science and medicine to come up with proof to state that men are different from women in regards to brains and chromozones and biology just as in the times of slavery white people came up with medical evidence to state that white people have superior brains than that of black people).
I am sure people will read this and go, but wait, it is easy. A man is different from a woman. There is historical and medical information that is CONSTRUCTED FACTS. What is a fact?
Well, there is more than TWO GENDERS. And there is more than TWO SEXES. So why, are there only two words to describe human beings? Basically because of social control.

Gender is a pattern of behaviours recognised as 'feminine' or 'masculine'. It is socially constructed, learned behaviour. Accordingly, gender differs between societies and across the social, ethnic and cultural groups within societies. Even for a single individual, gender behaviours change over time and within different social contexts.

This explanation of gender is based on the belief that all differences between men and women result from biology - the 'anatomy is destiny' argument. Biological determinism is often used to support generalisations about men and women, such as 'men are naturally more able in maths and technology' or 'women are naturally suited to domestic duties'.

These views are based on investigations of genetic differences between men and women, often searching for differences in brain function. However, even by the early 1990s, it was clear that the constant finding of psychological research is that 'sex differences are small, their origins unclear, and the variation within each sex far outweighs any differences between the sexes'
Biological determinism asserts that certain behaviours are justified and unchangeable because 'boys will be boys' (or 'girls will be girls'). There is little consideration of the wide variety of behaviours among members of each sex or how masculinity and femininity relate to each other in different settings.
However, this view of 'natural' difference is difficult to support when notions of appropriate gender behaviour are not static, but differ over time, between ethnic and cultural groups, and even between and within families.

why are women different than men? Why are both genders created in the image of eloiheim?
i think the spirits of men and women are given the chance to choose what kind of life they want to live. Each gender has its eternal blessings that are different than the other, Weakness and strength are given to enhance each other.
butthese are only my opinion.

Buy Chad Eastems book "The Truth about Guys" its a perfect definition to guys. One thing though, guys brains are like waffles, they are compartments where in one s school, one is friends, one is girlfriends and they can't mix while girls brainds are like spagetti and are all jumbled together like your boyfriends sister knows a girl who is your dance teachers daughter who has an annoying voice, who is jealous because you have her ex-boyfriend. We are just kewler, us gals ;)
I'm not sexist though, I love guys!
