I already have my engineering degree and just got my masters. However, I could take over my dads barbers shop, I would just need to go to barber school. What should I do?

you dont need to be a barber to manage a barbershop...
try it out as an engineer first... its a waste to put all the hardwork in getting a masters degree aside.
i always thought it was better if you have a carreer and a business at the same time... income would be better because you are not solely dependent on one source.
in any business that you need to manage, you have to learn the ropes... you can hire barbers to attend the day to day services but since you'd be mostly out during the day (if u work as an engineer) you need someone you can trust to oversee the day to day operations of the barbershop.... but you need to check up on them because it is still your responsibility.
i read somewhere that 80% of your sales/income come from repeat customers so make sure that even when youre not there, the shop can still provide quality service

Do what you REALLY want to do! If it a "I need to take over the family business and carry on a legacy" thing you could own and/or manage it, and get siblings, cousins, and family friends to do the day to day stuff.
