My ipod won't upload songs when plugged in, what's wrong with it?

when i plug my ipod into my computer and i click itunes and i want to upload my ipod it doesn't work. how come?

I am assuming you mean that the software is not recognizing that the ipod is plugged in. The ipod will download from the computer but will not upload songs to the computer.

Try this first:

Connect the ipod
open itunes
click on "help"
Choose "run diagnostics"
from the list choose "ipod diagnostics"

Your itunes has probably got the settings changed to not automatically open when the ipod is connected.

You can also hold down "menu and the center button" together to casue the ipod to reset, that might trigger the software to recognize it.

if it dosnt work then when you plug it in jus go to file and then at the bottom of the list click sync ipod.
