Just wondering i know it varys state by state but maybe you can tell me if they will even consider me. My husband clears about 2000.00 a month and I make about 800.00 a month. Do you think that is too much of an income for medicade? Or something similar. His job doesnt offer any insurance and neither does mine. Thanks! I have not tried because i figured we make too much income. Thanks for any help. Oh and i also had the question about the dr apt and cost. that was 2500.00 for all the dr apts and a sonagram each time and delivery. Not the hospital though. Thanks again

I am not sure about the income qualifications but it is always worht a shot. Since you are claiming medicaid for yourself and the baby, I think they only consider your income. This summer when I lived with my mom and applied for medicaid, I had to put my income and my mothers, and they only used my income since I was the one that was pregnant. It may vary in your state though, i live in virginia. also, you may over qualify for some of the things that medicaid provides but not all, so when you turn in your form they will give you a caseworker, whom you can contact and ask any questions you may have. She will be able to tell you what you can get thru medicaid if anything, and what you can't, and what's covered. I think you should be fine, my mother made $1500 a month and I made around $800 a month, and I qualified, but then again it could be different in your state.

if you google medicaid in your state you should find a site that tells you coverage and qualifications.

it does vary state to state
but generally you must gross less than $800 to qualify ($1100 for a two person family)

about the above post there is no medicaid part D, that's a medicare program for Rx coverage, you must be disabled or over 65 and low income to qualify.

also, the below post is incorrect you can be charged with a felony if you do not report all income in your household (your husband is responsible for your child and his income counts against you)
