If you could write one page about any area or experience of life as you have lived it, what would it be?

My financial experience and I would educate it to the young adults, starting with seniors in high school. Most young adults are out of control when they get credit cards and lenders will not be very kind if people don't pay the money back. Most young adults will make the wrong financial decisions when the time comes. For example, should I start saving now or should I wait? Should I buy cash value life insurance or buy term? Should I get these cheap mortgages to get into my dream home or the 30 year fixed mortgage into a home I can afford? Is applying to store brand credit cards good or should I just get a regular credit card? Should I start my own IRA or hope that the government will take care of me?

There are wrong choices and there are right choices. The problem is that most people make wrong choices because they are not educated. My state has started a financial program to teach young adults about these issues and how to create a budget.

I created a blog about these financial topics at: http://obe231.blogspot.com/

It is my hope for future generations to not be in the same mess that America is currently facing today, which are: huge debt, bankruptcies, little or nothing saved for retirement, and negative savings rate.

I would want people to remember that I survived all that happened to me before I was old enough to control my life and I have grown up to be a loving and giving person despite it all. When I was 4 I was raped by a neighbor for a period of 3 months while this was going on I was physically and emothionally abused by my alcoholic father and ignored completely by my mother. My parents were divorced when I was 2 and I was shuffled back and forth, and I was never allowed to forget how much of a burden I was to my parents or my older siblings. I was angry for a very long time growing up. Now I feel I am a good person, full of love to give. I am still single and looking for the right man in my life. I can never have children because of the damage done to me as a child, but I love and will love any child that comes into my life, and I will always make sure that each of those children have someone that they talk too and I will always be there for them.

The fact that being Gay and happy is NOT mutually exclusive!

I have all my family and friends behind me. I'm 45, my oldest sister is 50, and I have 5 brothers and 6 sisters. I have 17 neices and nephews, 18 great-neices and nephews who all love me. I was terrified of coming out because of my religious family and upbringing. However, I shouldn't have been, I should have realized they loved me, and it was my happiness that meant more than anything to them. Especially when I found my soul-mate. We were married for 7 years and together for just over 8. When he passed away I loved him so much that I went into shock. I loved him much more than when I met him. His family and mind still keep in touch and see each other when possible and I'm still the only Uncle his (our) neice has.

I'm blessed. I wish everyone could be.

That I survived a massacre in Chechnya when I was 4 years old. Islamic extremists killed 10 people. I was shot in the hip and I laid down on the ground pretending to be dead. Shortly after, they were scared off and arrested by Russian troops and I was rescued.

It was traumatic but the unbelievable cowardice of the terrorists and the courage of the troops gave me hope for a better future for the world. We can defeat them!

My loving and living with another woman. We consider each other married. So many other people think they know all about us already, and try to restrict our rights to care for each other. I actually concentrate on this in my blog, the bad as well as the good between us, to help answer peoples' questions.

My loving family; Mother, brother and his fiance. My relationship with my partner Gwenneth ( 42 years until her tragic death). My survival thanks to my brother and his family.
The theme would be the futility of hatred and the healing power of love and forgiveness.
Blessings for this New Year, Rose P
