I am SOO mad!?

Ok hey again.
As i said previously my husband and I have been TTC for a few months now, my LMP was Novermber 25 2006, it was due on Dec 29, instead of a period I had light pink spotting, only when i wiped and only for about an hour. For the past 2 weeks(ish) I've had every text book symptom from nausea and vomiting, SORE breasts hard nippes, cramping, lower back discomfort, slight headaches, extreme tiredness. and I just feel like I may be.
I went to the doctors today, and I asked for a pregnancy test- doing a urine, I've heard not so great things about the doctor ones. Anyway negative. I then asked for a blood test and he said NO! I was so angry!! He said theres no way I was pregnant and since it was negative, there was no way a blood one would show either. Is this true!?
I asked what the spotting could be and his exact words were "you know women." No I dont! If I knew what it was, I wouldn't have been there.
Anyone had a negative doctor urine test and still been pregnant?

I started spotting again today!! What is this? It's a bit darker than last time, but still pink. It's only when I wipe but has been going on for about 3 hours..on and off. Should I be worried? Its deffinatly NOT a period.

Those could all be premenstrual symptoms. When I was going for my bloodwork, the first thing the nurse asked me was if it had shown up in the urine test, because if it hadn't, it was unlikely it would show up in the bloodwork.

My friend had a negative blood test when she was pregnant; it wasn't until she had a positive urine exam that it showed up in the bloodwork. I would say wait a few more days, see what happens, and take a HPT.

Another thing, you don't need any type of referral to get a blood test on your own. If you feel he's lying to you, you can do it yourself. Although I would advice against it so soon; if the hormone isn't showing up in your urine, it probably won't show up in your blood test if you indeed are pregnant. Good luck!

Go to another doctor and ask for one! I'm not saying you are or aren't but you are entitled to find out for sure and not be passed off with "you know women"!!

My first urine test at the docs (wasn't my regular doc but a fill-in) was negative - but i just knew i was pregnant so asked for a blood test. He gave it to me without question and lo-and-behold i was pregnant. It was just really early which is why it wasn't detected on the urine one (although i maintain he didn't give it the two mins he was suppose to - more like 30 seconds before deciding he'd waited long enough).

But anyway - i'm 27wks now ... so obviously that first urine test was wrong! lol.

My doctor would not do pregnancy blood tests as they are more expensive then urine tests. My doc didn't even do a urine test, I had a positive home pregnancy test and he says the home preg tests are just as accurate as the hospital ones. If you want, you could try switching doctors and ask for a blood test right off the bat. Most would probably want to do a urine test first though.

Find a new doctor! If you want a test you should get one! I recommend a mid-wife though! They are better suited to meet the needs of a woman not just a patient! I had an OB first time around, boy do I regret that! Good luck! Also try, trying with out trying, have fun sex. And trust me, even if you don't find out right away you WILL know when you are pregnant!

OK love, I think it's time to change ur doctor, and fast. Yes, a negative urine test means nothing. A blood test is the best way to tell if ur pregnant or not. So, if I were u I'd change doctors, and in leaving, tell this one exactly what u think of him/her!

go to another doctor and ask for a blood test. Urine tests can say negative when in fact there is actually a pregnancy.

A 3 hundred and sixty 5 days from now, this gained't count number to you anymore. so that you've a weigh down on a guy... properly, if he famous out, he will both like you back or he will only shrug it off, yet i do not imagine he will do some thing to smash your thoughts over it. on the different hand, your meant perfect pal who you tell all of your secrets and techniques to in reality did some thing mean and may convey regret to you for it. If there is a few thing you opt for to save secret, do not share it at the same time with her and do not ever textual content or submit some thing inner most, because you in no way understand in whose hands or ears it truly is going to land. besides the undeniable fact that, talking reality and being positive about your self might want to really help you care a lot less about what quite anybody says about you. do not lose sleep over this... have a verbal substitute along with your female friend head to head and then enable it bypass.

OMG!! what a ***** he doesnt sound like a DR at all best thing to do would to buy a HPT yourself sometimes the bought ones are more accurate then the DR's if your still not pleased find another DR that will get the blood test done!!

well the dr pg tests are like the ones you find in a store. no difference.i took 3 at home tests all negative but i know my body! and i waited for about a month after i took the tests and went to the dr. and it was positive. wait a little bit or see another dr. the dr cant tell you no.

Geez, I'd change doctors if I were you! if thats how he treats you now, i'd hate to be 7 or 8 months pregnant and dealing with that jerk.
get a new doc and ask for the blood test right off.
