Consider the issue you have or are about to face. Understand that you are human and no matter what others may think you have the right to have feelings, forgive not only yourself but any others that have possibly caused you this feeling. And the most important and most positive issue is know that no matter what you are a human being, love yourself and care for yourself. Dealing with issues is not easy, however in the long run it is best, this way you are in no way hauling old issues around that can hold you back or worse lay even heavier on you as life goes on.
I wish you peace.

Feeling numb is usually about the presence of great sadness or a great lack of happiness (not necessarily the same thing).
Unless you want to seek professional help maybe all you can do is try to create small joys in your days so that they add up to having at least a certain amount of time feeling a little happy; and then wait the numbness out.
Its probably important to realize that occasional numbness can be a part of life. Try to do your best to find small joys for now and to be a little ok with a little numbness for now.
You could, of course, talk to a therapist to get some tips/techniques that may help.

That means you don't know the purpose and meaning of human life. This world is not our real home it is called Maya and is temporary and full of misery. We are not these bodies, we are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We have to reconnect with our Maker to actually be happy. The quickest and easiest way to reconnect is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion) Go to harekrishnatemple.c for details and read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada give the purpose and meaning to life.

just think of all the people and things that have helped you throughout life. when you were alone, or scared, just like everything else you have had to face, walk up to the obstacle, tell them that they wont beat you, that nothing can defeat you. after all the things in life that have been challenged and defeated, will you let a little thing like that let you down? or will you rise to the challenge and find a way to resolve the problem, to prove there is still something left for you on the other side of the obstacle

Do something very busy that requires a lot of concentration. Start a new project or try something new.
Write stuff in a journal, because sometimes you just need to get something off your chest, and it's too hard to verbalize or share with another person.
Read some novels. They can give you new perspectives on life.

You probably have just been crushed by someone. That does take a while to get used to, especially if it was a long relationship.
Get together with some friends and have a good time. Just keep your head high and keep on living your life when you get that feeling. What helps me is listening to music.

You keep on going no matter what. Eventually things will get better and you wont even realize it. One day you'll wake up and think back and realize that lifes great.
