John Adams did not WRITE the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE.
Thomas Jefferson did in 1776.
Why is this question in the Fantasy Sports section?

Betsy is right.
Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. John Adams did not write the Dec. of Independence.
Jefferson got help from Ben Franklin and others while drafting the document. He (Jefferson) borrowed ideas from John Locke's Second Treatise on Government.
