I am filipino and i will say not all are kind but i will say that when you got to our country people will try to help you and make it easy for you but NOT ALL.

Well, some are nice and some are mean. I have a friend and she's half black/half filipino. She went to the philipines this summer to visit family. She's dark skinned. When she went there, the village kids teased her and called her this name, i forget what they called her, and made her cry. Some of the kids were actually afraid of her because she's dark skinned. She was only 13. Her family, of course, was accepting of her skin color. I guess they think that light is right.

Nope - and I have many friends originally from the Phillipines. People are people; some are good, some are rotten, some have an inner glow that no one misses! What I have noticed in my friends is that as they bring family and friends over here - they have them learn the English language as soon as they can. They don't usually need help finding employement - they speak the language and want to get ahead.

A major newspaper (mail me if you want to know obed_ello@yahoo.com) surveyed 500 of their citizens about their impressions on the foreign workers in their country. This included Malaysian, (Mainland) Chinese, Indian, Bangladesh, etc.
They say Filipinos expats are
1) Hardworking
2) Honest
3) Intelligent

NO. Some of them nice, some of them are bleh!. I met few Filipinos before who keep convincing everbody that they have mix blood w Spanish though they dont have the mix blood from the parents/geratgrandparents at all, that they are totally 100% Filipinos. I dont know why they do that. So full of themselves, i cant stand it!
But i met filipinos who are nice too :)

Filipino is a race its part of the asian group....and I have to say theres good ones and bad ones just like any other nationality....I have to say atleast I am happy to have a few good friends from this race group...
