Definitely. Files with EXE extensions are the preferred method for malwares to get into your PC. Always scan these files with an antivirus scanner before doing anything.

Yes. You should only download .exe files that YOU have REQUESTED. If any unsolicited .exe files come in your email, avoid them like the plague!!

exe's are THE MOST DANGEROUS FILE TYPE you can open.

exe means "executable," which is basically a program. MANY viruses / spyware / malware come in .exe format.

.EXE are Executible Files.

You download one from a trusted site then fine.

You download one from an unknown site or you receive an email from a stranger and you download it, you can expect a HELL LOT OF A TROUBLE!

pretty much file can lead to becoming infected even a picture or movie if the hacker chooses to exploit it and you dont patch yourself.

DUH! Yeah. But, as long as you don't mind having a little spyware, adware, trojans, worms, viri < ---latin here, etc., you should be ok. Oh, yeah, if not booting your computer at all is a problem, you should avoid downloading from any site that you don't know.
