I haven't watched One Piece since the summer of 2006. Did they announce that it was cancelled or what? I'll probably just watch the japanese version since everyone says it is better.

Its not cancelled. Its just that the company that licensed it (4kidz) have dropped it. Meaning that they wont be dubbing anymore. They STILL have own the rights to dub it for the next 4 years. But they have stopped, which has made many fans like myself happy. Just watch the japanese version in any form you can get it. It is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better. If you want to know how to get episodes fansubbed. Then give me an email.

are you talking about cartoonnetwork version? if you are, it gets to the part up to where they are in Alabasta Kingdom. around that point, it stars to get really graphic. cartoonnetwork edits these anime to make them "kid approprate". mabye thats y they stoped

I think its because they are getting too far ahead of shonen jump in the U.S.
