No it's not fishing in the dark...It's called Kissing in the dark. I have only seen the video on CMT a few times. But it's a new band singing and in the dark a couple is kissing in barely nothing. So I know it's called kissing in the dark because the video would make NO sense about fishing.

Maybe you are thinking about "Kiss Me in the Dark" by the Randy
Rogers Band?

Kiss Me in the Dark

Sailors sail, cowboys ride, lovers love when
they get the chance
Take it slow, turn down the light, soft and low
let the shadows dance
Baby, don't hold back

Chorus:
Kiss me in the dark, roll me through the night
Hold me like you'll never let me go
Hit me with your heart, till the morning light
Let your skin talk to my soul
Kiss me in the dark

Strip away, everything, tonight there's nothing
getting in our way
The ties that bind, the where's and why's
Take 'em off and leave 'em all outside
Lock it all outside

(Repeat Chorus)

Without a single word, baby we can say so much
Reveal everything with just one touch

(Repeat Chorus)

Kiss me in the dark
Yeah

The video by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.... Fishing In The Dark does have a couple making out in several scenes. I'm pretty sure that is the video you are referring to. And it's not suppose to make sense he's not there to fish, that's just the pretense to get her alone.

I think you maybe talking about fishing in the dark by nitty gritty dirt band

Fishing in the Dark Lyrics:
Lazy yellow moon comin’ up tonite,
Shinin’ thru the trees,
Crickets are singin’ and lightning bugs
Are floatin on the breeze
Baby get ready.....

Across the field where the creek turns back by the ole stump road
I’m gonna take you to a special place that nobody knows
Baby get ready.....ooooooooooo

You and me going fishing in the dark,
Lying on our backs and counting the stars
Where the cool grass grows.
Down by the river in the full moon light,
We’ll be fallin’ in love in the middle of the night
Just movin’ slow...

Stayin’ the whole night thru, feels so good to be with you...

Spring is almost over and the summer’s come
And the days are gettin’ long
Waited all winter for the time to be right, just to take you along
Baby get ready.....

And it don’t matter if we sit forever and the fish don’t bite
Jump in the river and cool ourselves from the heat of the night
Baby get ready.....ooooooooooo.

Repeat the chorus (x3)

You and me going fishin in the dark!

I not too long ago received into nation track, however thus far my publicity has been in most cases restrained to brand new nation artists. So my favorites as a rule may not get a lot recognize by way of the hardcore nation enthusiasts or anything they are referred to as, however I love 'em simply the identical: (no truly order) Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, Alison Krauss, The Judds. Don't feel I've heard of the Carter Family, and I haven't any sound, so I'll ought to get again to you on that. BQ: Eh...I can consider of a couple of, however none I'd like to shout out as my favourite. edit-- americanguitarist, I have heard of George Strait, I was once approximately to record him, however I rather have no idea THAT a lot by way of him, and not anything I'm in love with adequate to name him one in every of my favorites. But I like him adequate to appear into him a few extra, which I'll undoubtedly do, as good as the ones different 2 you recounted! On the area of Rascal Flatts and Faith Hill, I can without doubt comprehend why they are performed at the smooth rock/grownup today's radio stations, while different nation artists don't seem to be, however to label them as readily "pop" might be misguided additionally, as there is without doubt whatever that separates them from the Backstreet Boys and Celine Dion. Perhaps "nation pop" will do?
