It depends on their mindset. I find that good looking people rely on their looks to get their way, whilst an "average" person relies on their personality. Therefore "average" people have better personalities and quite possibily their mental wellbeing benefits from that.

Hellllllll no.... what most people dont realize is that being good looking almost puts more stress on you....when you are good looking you feel like you always have to look good... because people are constantly looking at you... and when you gain a little weight or have a zit on your face it stands out a lot more.. If your average or not so good looking you arent really noticed anyway... so less the stress!!! Maybe that doesnt make very much sense but that is how i feel- but im pretty DUMB!!! and even though i know im pretty(not concieted at all) i have the worst self-esteem issues- and i NEVER get what I want... and im usually unhappy and always stressed...

Looks do not make us. They are nice but they are fleeting and honestly in the end, it is the spirit and the soul that conquers the ability to feel joy or not. What constitutes good looking anyhow. Based on one or one million people, it matters none but to the eyes of those who live in the bodies. They are only a shell we hang out in while on this mortal coil. We are all born to wither and to die. So no they suffer from pain and doubts too. People are people.;

No, happiness has nothing to do with looks, intelligence or money. Everything is relative; some of the best looking people have the lowest self esteem etc.. Happiness in my opinion is linked with an optimistic attitude and an easy going nature. If you're too hard to please then you'll never be happy.

Interesting question. Well, if you consider who is getting cosmetic surgery, it seems to me that they already look quite good and if they are spending money for cosmetic surgery they are not happy with who they are, so that says something about it. However, I don't really think that in the overall scheme of things that physical beauty has much to do with happiness. I like Judge Judy's way of looking at it - Beauty fades, but dumb is forever.

Yes.

The reason is that we are taught by advertising that the better looking you are the more you get of everything with little effort if any on your part. People have translated that to reality. Why wouldn't you be happy when your every wish is fulfilled?

Yes definitely. People treat you better if you are good looking.

yes, but being vain is stressful, always judging yourself by how many looks you get when you enter a room or how many people turn their heads when you walk by it is a burden
