Some states allow suing for 3 times the amount of the bounced check! Take him to court!

Small claims court?!?! Not sure, you might have to go to some type of employment court. But, I would look into small claims court after you communicate with your former employer to see if they will come through.
Otherwise, add up all that they owe you; any expenses and time (at a reasonable rate, e.g. what they were paying you per hour) that you have incurred dealing with the issue. Then take them to Court over it.

It depends upon the state..what i would do is talk to the employer, if nothing file suit..in some states u can sue for 3x the amount of the check plus damages and court costs. make sure u keep a copy of that check it can be useful for post judgment recovery

you can sue him, but if he gave you checks over $100 or in the amount of $1500 it is a felony charge. Go to the Small claims court and show them the checks. You can charge him. If you have tried talking to him and he still refuses to pay them off that is your right.

Smalls claims court, only cost about $50 bucks to file, you have to fill out the papers by yourself but trust me its not hard and not a long process only about two pages and I typed them up myself. Good Luck.

The first thing I would do is ask them for another check.
