SYNOPSIS

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is a magical phenomenon unlike anything ever before seen onscreen. Borrowing largely from cinema's horror conventions, the film begins as an innocent young couple is stranded at the home of a mad scientist who is building the perfect man. The castle is filled with a most bizarre group of characters who worship their master, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, played magnificently by the fabulously sexy Tim Curry, in leather jacket, pearls, fishnet stockings, and heavy makeup. Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) are forced to examine their own sexuality as the voluptuous doctor releases the hidden desires in each of them.

Based on the stage musical by Richard O'Brien (who also appears in the film as Riff Raff), the film comes alive with unforgettable song-and-dance numbers that have come to represent the sexual liberation of the 1970s. The outstanding costuming and makeup, the terrific acting by a group of relative unknowns (Curry, O'Brien, Bostwick, Sarandon, Nell Campbell, Patricia Quinn, Meat Loaf), and the memorable songs ("Time Warp," "Sweet Transvestite") help make THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW one of the most bizarrely entertaining and satisfying musicals ever made

It'd quite convoluted....The evil Dr. Frank-N-Furter is from the planet transexual, in the galaxy transylvania. He comes to earth and among other things, builds the physically perfect man. His name is Rocky. It's so long and crazy I can't even reount the story, but I love the music to it. Meatloaf does a good job as Eddy. The guy who wrote it is the actor who plays Riff Raff. He wanted to combine his love of sceince fiction movies with a musical. It's one of a kind

You don't watch this for the plot, you watch it with a bunch of regulars who know what to do at certain times in the movie and what to yell at the screen.
Basically, Brad and Janet get stranded at the castle of Dr Frankenfurter who is a tranvestite from outer space. Dr Frankenfurter has just completed Rocky, his sex toy creation, and Brad and Janet get caught up in the sexual hi jinks in the castle. You watch it more for the fun of calling the characters names when their name is called (Brad is an "a--hole", Janet is a sl-t) yelling things at the screen ("What is your favorite color?" just before Dr F says "Magenta" and "Where do you get your drugs?" just before he says "Columbia" are examples) and throwing things around (rice at the wedding scene).

there's not really that much to it. Don't over think it. Just know that they were aliens. It's a very poor movie but a cult classic.
