Of these..
512MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
512MB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm)
1024MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
2048MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Are they all sufficient?

it depends on what u do with ur system ... 2 dimms is usually better than 1 .. 512 is ok for basic things but 1 gig is better ... 1 gig is faster than two gigs in most systems and u dont really need two gigs unless ur a gamer ...

well ultimately in almost any computer more ram=better performance, I would throw out the 512MB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm) because usually notebooks only have two slots to begin with so if you would like to upgrade in the future, both slots would be filled with a stick of 256 which is very small by to days standards. If you have the money the 1024 is good and the 2048 is even better.

Well first off. 2GB of RAM is not faster than 1GB of RAM. It just provides a larger operating space for applications. When people install more RAM there computer only seems faster because the applications have the "nourishment" they need to operate.

2GB of RAM is the better choice regardless of whether you have two memory modules or one. Just go with a name brand like Crucial or PNY. Although Edge is not too bad.
