Public Enemy still tours and Flava is with them but he's always been the wild crazy one...it's not all a act...Chuck is more reserved, he hosts a Satellite radio show..he gives lectures...the truth is Public Enemy won't release any Billboard chartbusters any time some....Chuck had a solo C,D...."The Autobiography of Mista Chuck"...a while back...it flopped...Public Enemy will never get back to their heyday circa 1988-1991....because the production of the Bomb Squad or Shocklee/ Sadler/ Shocklee gave them a sound and edge at a time that drove listeners to the beat while chuck dropped knownledge...Flava was the sugar for the bitter medicine...Lets face it, "Flava of Love" was a blessing and a curse for him but he probably needs that money for child support and past legal fees.

They are still friends. Several members of P.E. were also infamous for their alignment with the Nation of Islam and its leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan, whose remarks and speeches they have sampled along with Malcolm X's on several of their recordings. Professor Griff, after reading the book "The Secret Relationship between Blacks and Jews", published by the Historical Research Department of the Nation of Islam, elaborates on the Jewish role in the slave trade, Griff made what many perceived to be anti-Semitic remarks in an interview he had with David Mills of The Washington Times. However, according to Chuck D's book Fight The Power, after Griff cited several Jewish sources verifying his claim in a follow-up interview, Mills regretted writing the story and apologized to Griff. By then, however, it was too late. The story had resurfaced in a Village Voice article and gotten out of control. It resulted in Griff leaving Public Enemy and founding his own group, Last Asiatic Disciples, whose lyrics were even more politically and racially charged than Public Enemy's.[ They made an album last year. Rebirth of a Nation is an album by Public Enemy, written and produced by Paris, released on March 7, 2006. The title of the album is a reference to the controversial 1915 movie The Birth of a Nation as well as the group's prior album, It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back.
