why does my game cube keep stoping?

i think u meant"freezing"....probaly because the game you are playing is dirty or damaged ..or it is the lens inside of the gamecube that has probaly been touched when ur not suppose to touch it.Try blowing the inside of it and if continues to freeze.you might have to get a new ac power cord.
