they probably do but they dont care about the meaning of it. which most kids dont even understand the meaning of it.. even colored kids dont which i think is kinda messed up. some people say it was to end slavory.... it wasnt to end slavory, slavory was ended when the civil war ended. it was just to make people realise that no matter what race or color you are we are all people and we are all brothers and sisters. and when we have a fight we are fighting our brothers

Maybe, because there is still plenty of segregation in or society. Think about society's expectations for different racial, age, religous ETC groups?
