first of all, stumble on the thanks to type. it is view not vue. As for my opinion, AFI is my prominent band however that's a own preferance and there are countless bands (Ramones, conflict) that could want to placed above AFI because the perfect band ever. i imagine AFI's ideal song ever is the rooster song.

Yes, they are awesome and they have influenced me in so much ways. They are, oh such awesome guys and I'm glad that I've found them.
Though, I wouldn't proclaim them as the best band ever (to me they are) because there are many fans of other bands, especially classic influential bands, who could just write you off. "No, they're not the best, Led Zeppelin's the best!" Meh.

They're a great band, but not the best band ever. I love their music and they're really good role models.

I do think that they are one of the best bands ever, they have managed to change their sound over and over, and still manage to not only sound amazing, but make their music identifiable to their devoted fans. I know they get alot of **** for their mainstream success, but I think its long deserved, because its what they always wanted, and its nice to see them happy, and still humble...go figure. :)

I love their newer stuff like 'Miss Murder' and 'Love Like Winter', but I also love they're other songs that aren't on their new CD like 'Death of Seasons' and 'Bleed Black'. You should definitely listen to some of their older music if you haven't already.
