I was watching TV with my family and all the commercials seemed fine until a 1 minute long "Girls Gone Wild" commercial comes on, it was completely inappropriate for anyone to watch. What do you think? Is there any way to complain? Who would think while you are watching TV with your family this commercial would come on?

Family time is the most popular time to air a commercial? I don't think for this one. I wonder what the reaction would be of a wife who's husband picks up the phone to order the "two-disk set"' with his kids in the room.

The commercial was after 9 (9:05). But I think the rating of the commercial should match the rating of the show...

Well, that would have had to been somewhat late at night.
Yeah, it would be weird to have parents in the room during that commercial....but again, I think those commercials are only allowed after a certain time (after prime time)...unless you're watching a cable channel.

I totally agree! I was watching TV the other day and my dad all of a sudden walks in and thinks I'm watching something innappropriate or porn! and I was like NO its a commercial! they play some of these commercials in the worse of times, and there are some other innappropriate ones not just girls gone wild on at the worst times.Apparently the networks don't seem to care.

It seems very strange, doesn't it? I mean there are certain shows that are not aired before 9:00 pm because of adult content- it would make sense that these commercials should NOT be aired during these shows. I would call the local affiliate for whatever station you were watching. There is usually a listing of addresses and 'phone numbers in the weekly TV guide. And good for you!! :)

obviously you were not watching a family movie and you were watching tv at night, that is the only time these commercials come on...same as the "this is your brain on drugs" commercials. They go for the audience that is watching at that time!

Nope, it is called advertisement.. People are pushing a product and usually family time is the most popular time to air a commercial ...More people are watching...Hence a greater chance to get their product seen.

It's refreshing to see a man complaining of this. If there is a way to complain, then let me know, I'll join the forces.

It's pure trash and one of the longest commercials running.
It's on every late night movie channel. It's definitely not family
viewing. Not even appropriate for us adults. If you find a place to complain, please put it on here.

Try filing a complaint with the FCC @ http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html and the TV station you were watching.
