They can be fussy, run a temp, rub their ears, chew their fists, cry, get red, rashy cheeks. Teething rings that you keep in the fridge or freezer always seemed to work, along with some ibuprophen or baby aspirin.

They get fussy, they can run a low grade temperature, drool a lot, the gums can be swollen. They chew on a lot of things because the pressure on the gums helps to relieve the pain some.
To keep them comfortable, use small bibs for drooling to keep their little shirts from getting wet. Let them chew on a cold wash cloth, and cold teething rings, rub their swollen little gums with "Baby Ora Jel". I did a lot of rocking and holding my babies during this period. This is a difficult time for them and frustrating for you as well. Gives you a lost feeling 'cause you want to do more to sooth the pain and make them happy again. Good luck mommy. Just remember, you both will make it through this.

Crying and you cant figure out why, fussiness, restlessness are all good indicatores assuming the child is at teeth brearing age.
Keep them comfortable with any commercial teething product. Or you can wet a washcloth, freeze it, then let baby suck/chew on it. The cold will sooth the pain temporarly.

fever, crankiness, drooling. You can try baby advil or tylenol, or give them something to chew on. Sometimes you can buy squishy rings that you can put in the freezer and this numbs the gums when they chew. They also sell baby orajel to numb the gums, but I ended up getting that all over everything and then they're whole mouth was numb. That's likely no fun. Good luck. I used to give my first son my knuckle to chew on until the unfortunate day I stuck it in his mouth and he bit me - his first tooth had come through the gums! Yeow!!

My son began to have all those indications at 2 months previous.. they have been given extra advantageous and worse on and rancid. He did not decrease any enamel till presently after he grew to become 6 months in spite of the undeniable fact that. that's common to have those indications youthful. do not use something on your toddler till you notice the the enamel breaking. this way of habit might desire to be stretched out over months till it actual occurs. EDIT: in case you do see enamel breaking via i might call your pediatrician and notice what he might propose. Frozen washcloths to chew on help in spite of the undeniable fact that.. or maybe purely sucking a chilly, moist washcloth. while my son refuses all teething toys, and so on (many times while his gums are reducing badly) he will nonetheless be soothed with a chilly washcloth.
