"Use the slope and/or distance formulas to classify the quadrilaterals given the following information:

A (-1,3) B (3,2) C (1,-1) D (-3,0)


Can someone help me? I've totally forgotten how to do these types of problems!!!

Yea. It's either a rhombus, square, rectangle, kite, or trapezoid.

It is a RHOMBUS.

Using the slope formula will show that AB || CD & AD || BC, thus creating a parallelogram.

BUT, using the distance formula will also show that the sides are all the same length, thus making it a rhombus (a parallelogram with equal side lengths).

my ? is your determining what shape is being made and saying that if it is a rectangle or square or something to that extent..? well if so i got a parallelagram so you know lol...
