I believe you are talking about the Intel chip -- which just about every (actually every) manufacturer puts into one of more of their models -- Right now it is good chip and is on the higher side, but getting a computer with a "dual core" processor is a must if buying new. Dual cores will be standard soon (actually now) and very soon they will be replaced with quad cores and then more and more cores (maybe 24 cores) (sorry Dr. Sues flashback) --- anyhow Dual Core 64 is a good place to be --- don't skimp on the processor or the RAM

intel makes the chip, dell, hp, and apple are the main computer companies that sell it in their computers... if your just thinking about upgrading, go to intel.com and order a chip... :)
