It's called being exposed to new things outside your everyday experience and being open to it. I am often surprised at things i find I like when I had preconceived notions that I would not.

Ever heard of Lilly Allen? She's from London. She does like really club kinda reggae. I'm heavily into old reggae, like before Bob Marley was popular, so anything too modern sounding I shouldn't like, but I can't stop listening to her.
