They are both a peach color. I'm wondering if I should get them. Anyone have any experience with corn snakes?

Then I went to another pet shop today and they wanted $499 for a pair of the same type of snakes, same color.

Around $1000 here is what they cost for a good breeding pair.
I've had corn snakes as pets. They are really easy to care for.
I'd love to have a breeding pair myself. You can make extra money selling the babies to pet stores and in ads in the newspaper.
If you don't get them, send me the name of the place that has
them for that price and I'll buy them for myself.

Excellent price..If you can tell that they are not both male.
Is someone just telling you they are breeders or you know they are proven breeders.
Corn Snakes make very good pets. They are fairly easy to breed,
but there are risks. Sometimes the female will eat the male after
breeding. Or she will get egg bound. They have quite a few offspring. Have you thought about how many mice that will be??
It's a lot of clean up. If you don't keep it really clean, they will die.
I'd say read up on it before you spend your money. You need to make sure you have buyers before you breed. Or you can get stuck with a lot of hungry mouths. Mice aren't cheap, even frozen.

That seems a little high to me because, corn snakes go for about 50 dollars here. Not sure where you are at though.

First if you don't have experience with snakes don't breed them, Second why breed them there are so many snakes and lizards that are neglect, abused, and abandoned that people should get them from animal rescues rather than breeding more and causing more deaths.

hell no They should be less. Where do you live I'll just go to the barn and get you a pair. I have a pair of Pythons 22 foot long. They have their own house now. P.S. they were free.
Corn snakes should go for 40 dollars a piece.

Gravid ladies will shed round every week earlier than laying, that is known as the prenatal shed. They may even shed after laying their eggs seeing that their our bodies have simply persevered a dramatic difference in girth. In quick, sure it's ordinary.

the price isn't bad... but you have to ask yourself if you are really going to be able to breed them.. it's not as easy as breeding dogs... you have to set temperatures.. daylight hours during the winter and even if you get them to breed.. you have to incubate the eggs in very precise conditions.. but if you are ready to do that then it's a good price as long as they are adults and have bred before.
