I live next to a canal and there is a lot of bugs around my house, its not a big deal but its like they wait for me to open my front door or the door to the garage to come in. Now I have a lot of bugs by the garage opener lights. About 20 of them just living there what can I do to prevent this in the future or eliminate them from there without trying to kill them 1 by 1? I will be here all night trying to kill them. Please let me know.

few things that i know that will repel bugs:

take two small water bottles and fill them up with water about half way, then hang them on both sides of the garage. that's suppose to keep the mosquitos away and i believe moth's as well

most moths are attracted to lights, as you probably already know. why not give them exactly what they want? buy a tiki torch and light it outside. all the moths should be attracted to it and ...well you know the rest

citronella candles really do work. try lighting them around your house to repel them

you may also want to try things that eat bugs, such as frogs and birds. if you can attract frogs, or even buy a couple and release them near by, or hang a bird feeder near by to attract their predators, it should help to alleviate some of your pest problems
